Are you internationally trained and/or a newcomer and looking for help finding a job?

The Centre for Education & Training offers several programs for the internationally trained and/or a newcomer. Listed below are our available programs.

Newcomer Information Centre

The Newcomer Information Centres are a new initiative funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and operated by the Centre for Language Training and Assessment.

The purpose of the Newcomer Information Centres is to provide easy access to timely and accurate information for clients. Newcomers receive information about agencies and services and referrals to community agencies to receive the services they need. The NICs are a first stop for newcomers who may not know how or where to access services. They allow newcomers to get information in a self-directed manner with access to resources, the Internet, limited fax and photocopying, and up-to-date information on community agencies and services.
