Programs for Youth (ages 8-18)
The Centre for Education & Training offers language and educational programs for youth. High school aged learners may enroll in a Canadian public school for a minimum of one year. Canadian schools are dynamic and exciting for the youth of the 21st century. Learners can study English and become world citizens through an immersive multicultural learning environment that fosters tolerance and understanding.
The Centre for Education & Training also offers fun and meaningful children's camps both in Mississauga and in home countries to children aged 8-14.
The Centre for Education & Training offers a general skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing, pronunciation and vocabulary) English language study course. Taking a modern and holistic view of the art of communicating in English, with such topics such as discussion, making presentations, negotiation, debate, drama and poetry, the curriculum develops learners' interpersonal communication skills in a real and meaningful manner. In-class activities are complemented by a wide variety of out-of-class educational excursions. High School Credit
Learners enrolled at the high school level may gain academic credit for ESL classes, should such be required. Current school transcripts will be equated to the Ontario equivalency. A monthly guardianship fee for learners under 18 is charged if no family guardian is available locally.
We offer intensive test preparation courses for adult and young adult learners planning to take TOEFL, IELTS, or TOEIC tests either in Canada or upon return to their home countries. The Centre for Education & Training is a registered TOEIC test site. However, course fees do not include testing fees or test-date registration. Taking any of our language study courses enable learners to improve upon language proficiency benchmarks achieved through taking the Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment (CLBA).
