Are you:

  • Able to work full-time from July 2nd to August 23, 2019.
  • A YOUTH between 16 and 24 years old.
  • Having a hard time finding a summer job, or never worked.
  • Living in Brampton, Caledon or Mississauga.

* Relatives of an employee of The Centre for Education & Training, Region of Peel, or in an agency that receives funding from the Region of Peel are NOT eligible.

EmpowHer

Description

Hosted by The Centre for Education and Training, The EmpowHer Program is an initiative in the Region of Peel for young women 15-30 years of age. The Program aims to increase female youth leadership via civic engagement by introducing women to various service and volunteer opportunities in their communities.

Features

EmpowHer provides free training in Project Management, Leadership, Employability and Life Skills as well as assistance in the co-creation of service projects responding to identified community needs. All participants who complete the 2-week training will receive volunteer placements including multiple service opportunities over an 8 week period throughout Mississauga and Brampton. Snacks and transportation provided.

  • Female
  • 15-30 years of age
  • Reside in the Region of Peel

We offer an intensive 11 week pre-employment training program designed to advance youths who are in receipt of Ontario Works towards their employment goals.
